This Illinois Museum Is Packed With Famous Movie & TV Cars and Pop Culture Treasures
I'm all for fun road trip ideas, as you may know if you've read any of my stuff. I like to think of a destination and then plan things around it. It could be a traditional tourist attraction or even just a restaurant. Show me a road, and I'll show you how to enjoy it.
Volo Museum
For this story, the road in question is Volo Village Road, and that's appropriate since we're headed, virtually, to the Volo Museum. If you're a lover of pop culture like I am, this should trigger your desires and kickstart a journey of your own. I say that because the Volo Museum is all about pop culture. Also, the Volo Museum is in northern Illinois, in suburban Chicago, so that road trip will come fully equipped with TONS of other fun opportunities.
But you might still end up spending most of your time at the Volo, and, with that, I will shut up and get to a lot of images that detail what exhibits will wow you when you get there. I thought it was mainly just famous vehicles from TV and movies, but it's so much more.
I would agree that the vehicles are the draw, but check this out. This place is lit.
They also sell pristine, vintage cars and trucks, and they are spectacular.
If you decide to visit the Volo Museum, stop by their booking page first; the Volo offers a variety of tour packages, and you can select the one that's best for you. The Volo Museum is open every day of the week from 10 AM to 5 PM.
