Arc of Evansville Community Conversations
The Arc of Evansville recently announced an exciting new partnership with Indiana University to host a series of monthly Community Conversations discussing a variety of topics. The first event in the series will focus on "Supported Employment" and will be held on Friday, May 17th from 6p-8p
The May session will help guide people with disabilities to find and maintain competitive employment in the community. Personalized support and assistance are provided to help overcome barriers to employment and succeed in the workplace.
- Identify skills, interests, and career goals
- Ongoing support to help navigate workplace challenges, develop job skills, and communicate effectively in the workplace
- Assistance with obtaining any necessary workplace accommodations or modifications for performing job duties
- Placement in regular, competitive jobs alongside non-disabled coworkers, rather than in segregated work settings
