One Goodwill Trip, Four Pairs of Shoes, and a New Friend
When I picked the very first winner for Goodwill Glam, I knew it was going to be fun. What I didn’t expect was to meet one of the sweetest and most outgoing people ever. Gina showed up ready to SHOP, and honestly, she did not waste a second.
She already had events coming up and needed outfits, so we headed into the west side Goodwill with a mission. One of the things she was shopping for was a wedding. Let me tell you that the store absolutely delivered. It didn't take us long to find the PERFECT dress. Gina found this gorgeous teal blue dress that made her eyes pop the second she tried it on. We even found some dressy sandals that she can wear on the dance floor!
It was one of those outfits where you instantly know it’s a winner. And, it still had the tags on it! Originally $90, we added it to Gina's shopping spree for only $7!
But she didn’t stop there.
She also picked up fun shirts, two purses, another dress, and somehow managed to leave with FOUR pairs of shoes. I’m still impressed. We had the best time putting together outfits, doing little try-on moments, and even snapping photos in pieces she didn’t end up buying. Honestly, half the fun was just experimenting with styles for every season, including winter looks.
Thanks to a little AI magic, we were able to add some fun backgrounds showing where Gina could wear her new looks.
I loved that Gina stayed true to her style while also trying things outside her comfort zone. That’s what made the whole experience so fun to watch.
The coolest part is she didn’t just leave with a brand new wardrobe from a $50 Goodwill gift card. I genuinely feel like I made a new friend, too. We’re already talking future shopping trips and coffee runs.
