Southern Indiana McDonald’s Restaurants Now Accepting Nominations for Nurse Excellence Award
The locally-owned McDonald's restaurants in and around Southern Indiana are always doing things to give back to the community. In fact, the owners have a group they call the McDonald's MIKI Business Unit - MIKI stands for Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, and Illinois. They routinely offer free drinks and meals to special groups - they also hand out awards each year to students and teachers. And now, the group has announced a brand new award for nurses.
The New Nurse Excellence Award
Now through June 19, members of the community are encouraged to nominate dedicated nurses who go above and beyond for their patients, doing whatever is necessary to make sure the community is cared for. Nominations can be submitted online at www.mcdonaldsofmiki.com/nurse. Don't stop at one nurse, though - nominate as many as you can think of that deserve to be recognized.
This program provides an opportunity for the community to showcase thanks and appreciation for the positive impact local nurses make. In addition to supporting healthcare workers through this award, local McDonald’s restaurants provide extensive support to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of the Ohio Valley. Nurses and RMHC go hand-in-hand, working closely to provide support for sick or injured children and their families while undergoing care.
What Do Winners Receive?
There will be not one, not two, not three, but 25 local nurses selected as winners for the 2023 McDonald’s Nurse Excellence Award, each receiving a $100 gift card on behalf of their local McDonald’s restaurant.
