Friday Nights at Bosse Field Will Honor First Responders

Friday nights at Historic Bosse Field are about to become even more meaningful for the Evansville Otters and the local community. The Otters have teamed up with CenterPoint Energy to launch “CenterPoint First Responder Fridays” during every Friday home game throughout the 2026 season.

The new promotion shines a spotlight on first responders across the area, including local police officers, firefighters, sheriff’s deputies, EMTs, and other emergency personnel who are constantly there when the community needs them most. The program is designed to recognize the dedication and sacrifice of these hometown heroes.

Free Otters Tickets for Local First Responders

As part of the initiative, 50 local first responders will receive free tickets to every Friday night Otters home game during the season. In addition, one deserving community hero will be honored each week with the chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

Mike Roeder, President of CenterPoint Energy Indiana, said the company is proud to support the people who serve the community during emergencies, storms, outages, and other critical situations. He noted that first responders and utility crews often work side-by-side during some of the toughest moments, making this partnership with the Otters especially meaningful.
