Blink-182’s Tom DeLonge Has Emotional Reaction at Padres Game
Blink-182's Tom DeLonge Gets Emotional During an Unforgettable Baseball Moment
I have seen plenty of musicians get emotional on stage while thousands of fans sing their songs back to them, but this one happened somewhere a little different. At a baseball game! And this one hit a little different for me personally, because I have a deep love for this iconic 90s punk band.

Blink-182's Tom DeLonge was attending a San Diego Padres playoff game on Tuesday, October 6, when something pretty incredible happened.
More than 43,000 baseball fans started singing one of his band's biggest hits, "All the Small Things," and his reaction was priceless.

Just Another Night at the Ballpark... Or So He Thought
Fun fact about Tom is he's a lifelong San Diego Padres fan. He grew up in the San Diego area, so seeing him at Petco Park isn't anything unusual.
He was there watching the Padres take on the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 3 of the National League Division Series.
Now, if you're familiar with Padres games, you might know they have a tradition of playing Blink-182's "All the Small Things" when the team is leading heading into the bottom of the eighth inning.
And that's exactly what happened Tuesday night.
Except this time, one of the guys who actually made the song was sitting in the crowd!
43,000 Fans Singing Your Song? I'd Probably Cry Too!
As the song started playing throughout Petco Park, thousands of fans began singing along.
Cameras caught DeLonge taking it all in, smiling and appearing to hold back tears as the crowd sang his song.
Eventually, he couldn't help but join in himself, singing along and waving a Padres rally towel.
And I have to imagine that's a pretty surreal feeling.
Think about it. You write a song back in 1999, and 27 years later, you're sitting at a baseball game watching your hometown team while an entire stadium sings it back to you.
That's pretty cool.
The Padres Even Walked Away With a Win
The moment wasn't just special for DeLonge.
The Padres went on to beat the Milwaukee Brewers 4-3, keeping their postseason hopes alive.
"All the Small Things" has become something of an anthem at Petco Park over the years, but I think this particular performance might be hard to top.
And whether you're a baseball fan, a Blink-182 fan, or both, it's one of those moments that's just fun to watch.

Watch Tom DeLonge's Reaction
You can watch the moment in the ESPN Facebook video.
I don't know about you, but I think seeing an entire stadium sing a song you helped create would be one of the coolest feelings in the world.
And judging by DeLonge's reaction, I think he would agree.
