You know her as Marla Hooch from 'A League of Their Own,' but her real name is Megan Cavanagh and she might just be the nicest person on Earth.

Rockford, Illinois is so many things to so many people, it just depends on who you ask... but, we all know that Rockford is home to the Rockford Peaches. And we all know the movie that brought the team back to life in the early 1990s, 'A League of Their Own.'

As someone who was around when the movie was released, it's hard to believe it's turning thirty this Fourth of July weekend, but it is, and there's a BIG celebration here in Rockford.

One of the celebration attendees is Megan Cavanagh, who played Marla Hooch in the movie.

Megan made some time to talk to me Monday night on Good Day Stateline and I'm pretty sure I want to be her best friend.

Megan will probably always be known most for her role as Marla Hooch, but she also guest starred on Friends as Luisa Gianetti, and she was the voice of Judy Neutron in the Jimmy Neutron series and movies.

She will be here in Rockford next weekend, July 1 and 2, signing autographs at Friday Night Flix while we show 'A League of Their Own,' and she'll be playing in Saturday's celebrity softball game.
