Lunch Fundraiser Set to Help Parents, Kids in Need During Christmas

We are so excited to announce that the last WBKR Yard Party of the season will benefit Christmas Wish. Live music, delicious food with free deliveries offered, Cole Swindell concert tickets, Halloween candy, and a lot of fun. Here's what will be on the menu.

We're getting ready to celebrate the 46th season of Christmas Wish. We're excited to make it the biggest and best season ever! To make that happen, we need your help. If last year was another record-breaking year, I can only imagine what this season will bring. Based on the phone calls and messages asking when families can start filling out wish letters, I think we have a pretty good indication. So, let the fundraising begin!

CHRISTMAS WISH MISSION

Since 1976 Christmas Wish has been “MAKING SURE EVERY CHILD IN THE TRI-STATE GETS A VISIT FROM SANTA”. You can make a huge difference in the lives of others and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas by giving back to those in need this holiday season.

Because of efforts and generosity like this fundraiser, 1,628 families in need received Christmas last year. Over 5,000 children had presents under the tree. Around 1,200 families had a Christmas meal on the table, and over 25,000 gifts were handed out during the holiday season. If you're in need this holiday season or know someone that is, letter submissions will be open on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022.

2022 CHRISTMAS WISH YARD PARTY

Last year it rained on our parade. This year the weather looks beautiful so join us on the front lawn at WBKR on Friday, October 14th, 2022. We'll be serving up some lunch from 11 AM until 1:30 PM, and we hope that you can stop by. You can get a burger grilled by the Daviess County Pork Producers, chips, a drink, and a snack for just $5 at 3301 Frederica Street, Owensboro. Because of some amazing sponsors, 100% of the proceeds will go to families in need this holiday season.

We'll also have the talented Joshua Orion playing some tunes to keep us entertained during lunch. Bring the kiddos for some Halloween candy too!

Stop by and get registered for tickets to Cole Swindell. He'll be performing at the Owensboro Sportscenter on Friday night and we want to send you to the show. We'll draw a winner at 1:30 PM.

PRE-ORDER LUNCH, AND HAVE IT DELIVERED

We're offering FREE deliveries in the Owensboro area on all lunches of 5 or more. Why leave the office when we can bring lunch to you? If you want to pre-order it would help us a lot. We have enough food for 500 meals, so we need you.
