NASCAR Driver Carl Edwards Retiring
Carl Edwards, who celebrated his victories with a back flip off his car, is reportedly retiring from NASCAR. The news comes as Joe Gibbs Racing has announced XFINITY series champ Daniel Suarez will take over Edwards' No. 19 car.
JGR will hold a press conference Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. local time. Edwards won 28 races in 13 years in the Cup Series. Last season, Edwards won the last three races and he was in contention to win his first championship with 10 laps to go at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
It is not known at this time why Edwards is walking away.
