National Girlfriends Day – Success

August 1st was Girlfriend's Day.  I heard about this by accident but I'm glad I did.  I spent a long day at the station on the first, so I had a long time to think about what I was going to do to make this day a fine success.

I bought a card first off.  The card on the outside said "every memory I have with you is a good memory" (or something close to that).  I walk up to the counter to check out and I open the card up while I'm waiting in line.  On the inside it reads "Best Birthday Wishes"  Her birthday was in January. Wonderful.  I bought it anyway and went with the arrow trick and wrote "very late" above birthday.  Also as you can see in the picture above.  It is two people sitting on the gate of a truck.  Nice picture eh?  Yeah it is, however, after further review it's two girls in skirts sitting on the back of that truck.  Hmmm, I thought it was a guy and a girl on there.  Oh well.

Next stop is flowers.  Its 7:30 in the evening so this is almost impossible and I refuse to steal flowers from landscape, so I called up grandma.  I asked where I could get some flowers.  Kroger it is.  Dozen roses, cut the stems, filled up a vase and boom, Girlfriend day success.

Best $8 holiday ever!!
