Ohio’s Kings Island Announces Opening Day for 2023
One of the coolest amusement parks within driving distance from the Evansville area, Kings Island, just announced its opening day for 2023.
King's Island, located right outside of Cincinnati, Ohio, is one of the best amusement parks around. Not only is the park massive, but the rides there are fantastic. It's a place that my family and I have visited ever since I was a kid. It's one of those amusement parks that is so big, you have to go more than one day just so you can ride everything you want. Just last month, Kings Island was voted one of the best amusement parks in the nation by USA News and World Report. If you have never been, you need to make it a point to add Kings Island to your bucket list this summer!
Kings Island's 2023 Opening Date
Kings Island recently announced that the park will be opening for the season on Saturday, April 15th. According to the Facebook Event Page:
Make plans now to attend Opening Day and be among the first guests of the year to experience original attractions like The Racer, Scrambler, Grand Carousel and Monster. Plummet down a 300-foot first drop and reach speeds up to 91 mph on Orion. Or take a leisurely ride on the Kings Mills Antique Autos. Families with little ones can spend Opening Day together in Planet Snoopy.<br />With so much to see and do, the fun and thrills never seem to end at one of America’s favorite amusement parks!<br />Opening Day is just the beginning of what will be another season full of fun, thrills and memories.
New in 2023...
Kings Island is bringing a new themed area with two new rides to the amusement park this summer. Kings Island's website gives you a little taste of what to expect with this new area in 2023:
<p>The myths of an ancient civilization and its mighty city carved out of stone have lured travelers from around the globe to this bustling port community for more than a century. </p><p>Welcome to Adventure Port. New in 2023, and located between Coney Mall and Action Zone, the park’s newest themed area will feature two new family rides, enhanced theming for <a href="https://www.visitkingsisland.com/rides-experiences/adventure-express">Adventure Express</a>, Enrique’s quick service restaurant and the Mercado.</p>
