Overnight Fire at the Cadillac Motel in Owensboro [Photo]

Fire broke out overnight at Owensboro's Cadillac Motel and the damage was extensive.

Parts of the establishment were completely destroyed and residents in the surrounding neighborhood describe the scene as a "mess."  According to witnesses, the Cadillac office was destroyed as well as the apartments and rooms. The restaurant apparently sustained major smoke damage and efforts continue to fully assess the amount of damage to the property.

According to authorities, the cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
