Owensboro Police Make Arrest in Robbery Case

Owensboro police have made an arrest in connection with a burglary that happened early Wednesday at 3:15AM in the 700 block of Sycamore Street.

Reportedly, a male suspect forced his way into an apartment brandishing a handgun. The subject demanded money, according to reports, and then left the scene after a brief altercation.

18-year-old William Merriweather has been charged with first-degree robbery, possession of marijuana, and receiving stolen property (a firearm)

Merriweather currently had other outstanding warrants which were also served
