I remember when I was in school that if we had to do make-up days in case of weather-related cancellations, they'd tack them onto the end of the year.

In 1977 and 1978, however, we missed SO MANY days that they declared it a disaster and we didn't make up any of those days.

And we missed a lot.

Last week, Owensboro Public Schools were closed for three days for weather-related issues.

Today, OPS announced the make-up days for those cancellations:

February 18th had been a scheduled parent-teacher conference day and March 15th a Professional Day. May 17th will now, in all likelihood, be the last day of the school year.
