Owensboro Suicide Prevention Walk Going Virtual
The Owensboro Regional Suicide Prevention Coalition will host a walk to promote awareness of suicide prevention on Saturday. You can virtually walk with your family and friends to make a difference and save lives.
The 13th Annual Lifesavers Walk is going virtual to raise awareness and remember those who've been affected by mental illness and suicide. I think it's important to be open and to talk about the 10th leading cause of death in our country. So many suffer in silence and it's just heartbreaking. I've lost so many people that I've cared about and each loss is truly devastating.
The opening ceremony video will be available around 10AM on the Owensboro Regional Suicide Prevention Coalition Facebook page. You still have time to register for the walk and support suicide prevention efforts in our community. It all happens on Saturday, October 17th, 2020.
