Owensboro’s Radio Shack Closing Its Doors

I had suspected the Radio Shack in Owensboro's Wesleyan Park Plaza was one of the last few in the nation.

A little more than two years ago, it was announced that hundreds of Radio Shacks across the U.S. were closing down.

The Wesleyan Park Plaza location remained open and partnered with Sprint.

But now, the last Radio Shack in Owensboro is closing its doors.

What's interesting is that chain isn't completely shut down, after all.

A report from North Carolina's The Daily Record indicates that more than 400 independently owned stores will remain open.

But, as you can see, Owensboro's will not be one of them.
