Plans Announced for 80th Annual Owensboro Daviess County Christmas Parade
Can you believe that we're just three months away from Christmas? We are and we're thrilled to share the details about the 80th Annual Owensboro Daviess County Christmas Parade!
The Owensboro Christmas Parade will be held on Saturday, November 19th in downtown Owensboro. And the theme for this year's event is "Home for the Holidays." Here's the official parade route!
The Owensboro parade is literally where Kentucky starts Christmas. Annually, it's the first Christmas parade to take place in the state and one of the area's largest.
If you'd like to be in the parade, organizations may register a float entry and vendors can sign up for booth space by CLICKING HERE. Early bird pricing is currently in effect through October 31st. The last day to enter the parade is Saturday, November 5th.
And, here at WBKR, we cannot wait for the parade. Each year, Dave Spencer, Barb Birgy and I join our friend Jane Head on 2nd Street as we call the parade live for Time Warner Cable Channel 8.
