PNC Bank Robbed on Frederica St. in Owensboro, OPD Investigating
This morning at approximately 9:21 am, the Owensboro Police Department responded to PNC Bank on Frederica Street for a Bank Robbery. Here are photos of the suspect.
These are press releases you never want to read. My husband has been in the banking industry for much of his life. He's been a branch manager for much of it which means that he's at the "front of the bank" if a robbery ever happens. Although all bank employees are trained for events like these, it can't make it any less scary.
According to a statement from the Owensboro Police Department, on Thursday, September 2nd, 2021 at approximately 9:21 am, the Owensboro Police Department responded to 3013 Frederica Street (PNC Bank) for a Bank Robbery.
Below are photos of the suspect who was armed with a handgun.
This suspect may still be armed, do not approach.
Employees advised a black male suspect armed with a handgun entered the business demanding money and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money before officers arrived.
K-9 officers along with Detectives responded to the scene and are investigating. Anyone with additional information can call OPD at 270-687-8888, or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers at 270-687-8484.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the PNC Bank employees, after which had to have been a scary time.
