The Board of Directors of the Foundation for Daviess County Public Schools is pleased to announce our Focus Awards 2012 program.  Focus Awards 2012 will take place:

                                    6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at Apollo High School

Senator Wendell H. Ford, Daviess County High School class of 1942, is our Distinguished Alumnus 2012.  (Please see below for Mr. Ford’s publicity information.) 

Focus Awards 2012 will honor our nine Focus Awards finalists.

 One finalist in each focus area will receive a $1,000 Foundation Grant at the Focus Awards 2012 event. The Foundation Grant is to be used to improve educational opportunities in the recipients’ classrooms or schools.  Nomination stories for all 31 nominees may be accessed through the Foundation web site. 

The Foundation will also recognize our Founders Society members at Focus Awards 2012.  The Founders Society provides an opportunity for individuals to invest in providing the best education possible for our DCPS students.  A minimum investment of $1,000 (or $400 a year over the next three consecutive years) entitles patrons to a lifetime membership in the Society.
