Shop Owensboro Date & Participation Deadline Set

Here at WBKR we already know that local businesses are the heartbeat of Owensboro #welovelocal. This is why we're pleased to announce that the Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce is bringing back Shop Owensboro with Independence Bank. Here's what you need to know.

The Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce has announced that Shop Owensboro, Powered by Independence Bank, will take place on Saturday, November 28th, 2020. Things will just look a bit differently this year as they plan to offer a safe drive-thru service at the Owensboro Convention Center.

"Shop Owensboro was created to elevate the well-known Shop Small Saturday concept, a nationally recognized shopping day occurring each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. With a few changes to this year’s event format, we are confident that we can all celebrate our small business community while keeping our community safe and healthy!," Greater Owensboro Chamber of Commerce

On this day you can pick up your bag that will include promotional inserts from participating businesses, a shopping map and a Bingo card. Some will even carry gift cards to participating businesses for Shop Owensboro. Get in line early as only 500 bags will be distributed and they always go fast!

"Participation deadline for businesses is next Wednesday, November 18! Participating Chamber members will get exposure through the shopping map, our Bingo card, social media and email promotion, and through information that businesses provide for shoppers to receive directly in their shopping bags."
