‘SNL’ Christmas Show: Martin Short to Host, With Musical Guest Paul McCartney!
Talk about your Christmas come early! A few weeks ago during Jeremy Renner's stint hosting 'SNL,' we were ecstatic to learn that 'Django Unchained' star Jamie Foxx would return to hosting duties for the third time on December 8, with musical guest Ne-Yo. Now, 'Saturday Night Live' has unwrapped its best Christmas present yet, returning alumni Martin Short to the stage as host of the December 15 outing, accompanied by none other than musical legend Paul McCartney!
'SNL' really knows how to bring back the greats. The long-running NBC sketch comedy show has announced its incredible December 15 roster, tapping former star Martin Short to return as host with musical accompaniment by former Beatle and all-around musical treasure Paul McCartney! Short's hosting will mark the third leading turn from the former cast member, while McCartney will make his fifth appearance on the 'SNL' stage.
The December 15 episode will make the outing 'SNL's de facto Christmas episode, though the series will still air a special of past Christmas-themed sketches in an upcoming week.
What say you? Are you excited to have Martin Short back on the 'SNL' stage, accompanied by Paul McCartney? Will his comedic chops put those young whippersnappers in their place? Tell us what you hope to see from the December 15 episode in the comments!
