St. Benedicts Men’s Shelter in Owensboro Hosting Annual Campaign & You Can Help
St. Benedicts Men's Homeless Shelter is a nonprofit organization devoted to making a difference in the community. It's time for their annual bed sponsor campaign and you can help.
WHAT IS ST. BENEDICTS MEN'S HOMELESS SHELTER?
St. Benedicts is a Christian non-profit providing shelter and social support services to those experiencing homelessness in and outside of Owensboro/Daviess County, Kentucky. They are also the largest shelter and service provider in Western Kentucky.
The shelter houses right at 60-65 men each night. In the cold winter months, the shelter even has a waiting list. Homelessness is a major problem in our city and St. Benedict's tries to soften the blow of hard times by giving these men a safe place to lay their heads.
HOW YOU CAN HELP ST. BENEDICTS MISSION
They are asking you to consider Sponsoring A Bed for ONLY $1.34 per day. This bed sponsorship is $500 for a whole year. They also have a credit and debit recurring payment option of $41.67 per month. Funds from the campaign will be used to expand and enhance existing programs, and case management, and aid with promoting self-sufficiency to the residents.
Each sponsor, or named honoree, will be recognized for an entire year on a prominently displayed plaque at the shelter. All bed sponsor donations to the St. Benedict’s are tax-deductible.
The organization relies on the support of generous donors such as you. Your donation will help ensure the success of our future.
If you wish to partner with and sponsor a bed please contact Harry Pedigo, Director of St. Benedict's, at 270-541-1003.
The local shelters don't just need help during the holidays they need help year-round. This is a great way to give back to the community and help someone have shelter and food.
