While traveling, I have been known to just stop and look around any given classic car show that I happen upon. Even if it's not happening where I'm going. Even if I have no idea WHY whatever organization is hosting one.

I love cars. I love classic cars. They are works of art, even if they may be a bit impractical in 2022. Bring on the vehicles, in other words.

Well, that is exactly what they plan to do in Whitesville KY this weekend--Saturday, October 15th, specifically--with the 4th Annual Whitesville Car Show at Whitesville City Park. And it will be a perfect day to be outdoors; right now, according to the Eyewitness News Weather Authority, we're looking at partly cloudy skies and a high of 71. Amazing.

Just like the cars you'll see on display.

And won't the food trucks look good in that setting? What they offer will be even better...starting with the La Creme Coffee Truck.

And as far as I'm concerned, if there's going to be coffee, I'd like there to be ice cream, and the Chill Ice Cream truck will be on hand to meet those needs. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy some delicious popcorn; the Popcorn Man will bring his Jaders Kettle Corn to Whitesville City Park for the festivities.

If you'd like to enter a vehicle in the car show, it's a $15 fee. And every hour on the hour, there will be a $100 giveaway, with door prizes on the half hour.

I spoke to a Whitesville City Hall representative who told me that the hope is to drive up interest in Whitesville City Park as a sought-after venue. And this event--double as a fundraiser--would help raise money for items like picnic tables, a shelter, and playground equipment.

The 4th Annual Whitesville Car Show takes place Saturday, October 15th from 10 AM until 2 PM.

Tell Me You've Been on Highway 54 Without Telling Me You've Been on Highway 54

Some of these answers could apply to anything...IF you aren't familiar with Highway 54. And, yes, even if you are, some might not be obvious, but you'd get there.
