The Angels for Ashley St. Jude Cookout Moves to Shoe Stop’s New Location

The WBKR St. Jude Radiothon is coming up THIS Thursday and Friday!!  Jerry Morris and the Angels for Ashley Cooking Team will be cooking for two consecutive days to help us raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis.  And this is exciting.  Because Shoe Stop recently moved to a new location, this year's Angels for Ashley fundraiser will be held at Wesleyan Park Plaza . . . right in the heart of town!

I spoke with Jerry Morris' wife, Vickie, this past week and the team is getting ready to roll.  They (and we) are hoping for a record-breaking year.  Here's a look at this year's prices:

BOSTON BUTTS will be $35.

  FULL RACKS OF RIBS will be $25.

WHOLE CHICKENS will be $10.

PLATE LUNCHES are available for donations Thursday and Friday.

And Friday only, there will be FISH available too!

Plus, the Angels for Ashley team will deliver if you have orders of 20 or more plate lunches (or if the price . . . a.k.a. the donation . . . is right)!

And, like they have over the past several years, our friends at Norman McDonald's in Philpot will be serving up BBQ for our friends on the east side of town! They'll be doing that on Thursday.

All proceeds, of course, will benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
