I made it through the weekend in tact.  Margaret and I jumped in the car on Friday morning and headed for the Buckeyes State to see my family for my Mother's birthday.

Mom's birthday was fun.  We rolled into Marietta around 6 and the "meeting the family" began.  First off though, we had to stop in Belpre Ohio so Margaret could release some anxiety and nervousness, before rolling into Marietta.

Grandma was first - she was there waiting, then the mother showed up. (the birthday girl)  I was so happy to see her. Its been since January.  Introductions began as we rolled into the party area.  Sisters were there, aunts, uncles, cousins, grandmas and more.  The birthday party was a success to say the absoulte least.  It was a blast.

Moving onto Saturday. We met up with my friends for lunch at the local brewery (no beer, its a resturant too) which was great.  Story telling and catching up.  Later in the evening it was dinner with my parents and back home for relaxing and keeping it cool.

Sunday was probably my favorite.  I got to spend the morning with my family and get photographs done.  My neices and nephew were just as cute as I remember and we got some wonderful pictures taken.  Onto brunch, where we all sat and resumed our family getting together as a whole.  Kids running around, family laughing, just all around good times (what I miss the most about home).

Fantastic, perfect weekend.  Perfect way for my girlfriend to meet my parents and my family.  Pictures, birthdays and just a great time all around.  Back to Owensboro time it is.  Hard to let times like these go, but we gotta keep it rollin'...
