It's out!!  We have the brand new Frymire Winter Weather Forecast for 2017-2018.  And it calls for a major snowstorm in February!  Take a look.

In case you are unfamiliar with the Frymire Forecast, here's a little history about it. For years, Dick Frymire of Irvington, Kentucky, used a Japanese elm tree and a formula built around it to predict winter weather for the coming year.  Though Dick passed away in 2013, his family still carries on his tradition and I just received their official 2017-2018 forecast, which includes the possibility of a MAJOR winter storm in the middle of February.

As you can see, the first measurable snowfall of the year is predicted for November 25th, which is the Saturday after Thanksgiving.  There is also the possibility of a white Christmas.  But the biggest news is the major snow event predicted for February 13th, when parts of Kentucky could see a foot and a half of snow.    And, according to the Frymires, after two bouts of snow in March, we'll finally see the first true sign of Spring, the first robin, on March 18th!
