Since gators aren't from anywhere near the state, they are definitely being brought in by humans. People probably bought them as pets and figured that wasn't a good idea. Then, they dump them off in a local lake.

The first sighting of an alligator in Wisconsin was in early July. Okay, one is just a unique situation.

An alligator that was 2-3 feet long was found in Long Lake in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.

Second Wisconsin Alligator Spotted

Two weeks later, another alligator was spotted in Wisconsin. Two sightings might just be a coincidence.

According to bringmethenews.com, 

The latest happened July 12 in Kenosha when police were called to a residential area on the north side of the city for a pet alligator that had escaped captivity.
