Thursday’s Top 10 – Things We Forget The Most
The human is a forgetful creature. Usually between the ages of 17 and 23 and then again between the ages of 50 and 100. Put your mind at ease because you are definitely not the only one who has a forgetful mind. There are enough people that forget stuff that they did a study and made a list!
Do you remember what movie Drew Barrymore starred in where she couldn't remember anything that happened the day before?
Annoying, frustrating, aggravating and that thing you do when you clinch your fists and breath in through your teeth, are good ways to describe the feeling when you forget something. I'm surprised forgetting to pay bills didn't make the list but here are the things people forget the most in Thursday's edition of the top 10.
1. Why you went into a room - Usually the trick is to walk back out of the room and then you remember.
2. Where you put your keys - There is a handy piece of technology that can assure you never lose your keys again. It's called the tile! It has a little tracking chip inside of it and it hooks to your phone so you can track where it is at all times. I'd be throwing one in my kids shoe if I had any kids.
3. Things you wanted to buy at the grocery store - This has happened to everyone before I'm sure. You walk into the store for peanut butter and walk out with everything except for peanut butter.
4. People's names after you meet them - This happens a lot in the industry of radio. I'm sad to say that when I meet someone for an interview I usually have to ask them what their name is before the interview wraps up. Bad quality of mine but hey I'm human.
5. Where you put your pen - The radio station eats pens.
6. Taking meat out to defrost - I'm not a big chef myself but if I was supposed to provide dinner for a group of people then this could potentially be an argument between hungry family members.
7. To respond to an email - Now -a-days its getting more and more difficult to not get emails. Your cell phone is hooked to the internet and your emails just stroll right on in whenever they are supposed to. DING!
8. To mail something - The only reason why people forget to mail things is because they don't know if physically mailing something still exists.
9. What you wanted to search for online - Cats are more interesting anyway.
10. Where you parked your car - Another good thing that the "tile" does. You can throw one in your car and track it with your phone so people don't get annoyed when you push the panic button to hear your beeping.
