Angel and I decided to celebrate Halloween for today's Wacky Wednesday challenge.  I saw a Facebook video of a young man making Pumpkin Elephant Toothpaste and I knew we had to try it this week.  Your kids are going to LOVE this.  Here's what you need: a carved pumpkin, a cylinder (that fits in the pumpkin), a funnel, one cup of hydrogen peroxide, yeast, hot water, food coloring and dish soap.

Once you've rounded up your key ingredients, here's how to use them.  Yes!  This is how you make (or attempt to make) Pumpkin Elephant Toothpaste!

Now, I'll admit.  The first try was pretty cool.  As Angel said, our pumpkin looked like a "Pukin' Pun'kin."  However, the end result wasn't nearly as cool as what happened in the original video I saw.  Check this out!

Now THAT was awesome!

Angel and I have attempted a couple of "scientific" experiments for our Wacky Wednesday segment, but THIS recent challenge was our absolute favorite. We did this a couple of weeks ago. It was a blast and it worked like a charm!  We could have blown rainbow bubbles for days.

This "Rainbow Bubbles" challenge is a MUST try for the kids.  They're going to be obsessed. This experiment is epic.

Here's another one they'll love, even though it's even messier (if you can believe it). We played the Rock Paper Scissors Pie in the Face game.  If you lose a round of Rock Paper Scissors, you're forced to smash your face into a pie tin.  We decided to fill those tins with a variety of things.  We started with flour, then progressed to mayo, marshmallows, Hershey's Syrup and whipped topping.  Here's how it played out!

Angel and I started Wacky Wednesday a months ago, near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.  The inspiration behind the series was to give families something fun and "wacky" to try together at home.  Yes, the series grew out of the COVID-19 quarantine, but it has become a staple of our morning show.

So, stay tuned for more wackiness each Wednesday here on WBKR, the WBKR app, WBKR.com and the WBKR Facebook page.  If you have a Wacky Wednesday suggestion for us, shoot us a message via the WBKR Facebook page or through AppChat on the WBKR app.
