West Parrish K-Mart Closing in March

Owensboro is losing one of its K-Marts in 2017. The West Parrish Avenue location will close its doors in March.

Officials with Sears Holding confirmed the store will close in mid-March. A liquidation sale at the location will begin on January 6th. The company announced in September, 64 K-Marts in 28 states would close by mid-December. Both Owensboro locations survived the September cut.

Current associates will be offered severance packages and the opportunity to apply at other area K-Mart or Sears stores. The Owensboro Sears location closed in December of 2014.
