So, I'm gonna go ahead and file this under "I had no idea this was a problem"...as in, I had no idea that coyotes became a big headache for the Owensboro-Daviess County Regional Airport when winter turned to spring.

I've seen a couple of coyotes cross quickly in front of me on the road and I heard them years ago when I was staying with some friends across the river between Owensboro and Rockport.

But I didn't know they were a problem at the airport, as was reported by 14News/WFIE's Jonathan McEmber via WAVE3 in Louisville.

And they got some more information from an airport maintenance supervisor:

Obviously, if you see one, stay away from them.

They may be beautiful animals, but they are very dangerous, especially if they're hungry.
