Where are the Best Farmers Markets in Southern Indiana?
There are a number of great farmers markets in the Evansville, Indiana area that are preparing to open to the public for the summer 2013 season. All of these markets are fully stocked with a large variety of locally produced fruits, vegetables, herbs, and even meats. Here are three of our favorites:

Vanderburgh County Farm Bureau Farmers Market
The 2013 Vanderburgh County Farm Bureau Farmers Market provides the local community with an opportunity to purchase fresh, locally grown food every week. The market is set to open to public starting May 17 and run every Friday through September 27. Hours of operation are 8:00 am – 1:00 pm.

Historic Newburgh Farmers Market
The Historic Newburgh Farmers Market is set to get started again this year at the corner of State and Water Streets in Newburgh, Indiana. This market has become an area favorite, as it features locally grown produce at a great venue overlooking the Ohio River.
The market will open to the public starting May 25 and run every Saturday through September 21. Hours of operation are 8 am – Noon.
Located in the parking lot of the Edgewater Grille.

New Albany Farmers Market
The New Albany Farmers Market is full of local farmers, artists and merchants. The Summer Market will begin on May 11 and run until the end of summer. The market is located in downtown New Albany, Indiana at the Farmers Market Pavilion at 202 E. Market Street.
