You And 9 Friends Can Rent This Rockford Pool For $60/Hr
Because there's an app for everything, of course there's an app out there that let's you rent out your pool to complete strangers.
The website is called Swimply and it is supposed to be the next big thing in people trying to make a little extra money on the side.
The concept is simple and appeals to two groups of people. People that have a pool and want to charge strangers to use it. And. People that don't have a pool and don't mind paying a stranger to swim in theirs.
It's very popular at the moment. So popular that it was suggested that we write about the Swimply opportunities in our area to generate some good traction.
I looked up what Rockford had to offer and it's safe to say that, unfortunately for Swimply, it hasn't really caught on in Rockford yet.
Only one result pops up.
Secluded inground swimming pool located on 2.7 acres, on the south side just outside of Rockford, IL. Great for all family fun getaways, small corporate events, private events, private parties or just a nice getaway.
It looks nice enough.
If you can't tell by the tone of this post, I find it a bit weird and I'm not sure why. Strangers swim together in public pools all the time. Why is it weird to charge someone 60 bucks to come over and enjoy yours that you're not even using?
I'm not sure. Do you think this is weird at all? Would it be something you'd be interested in doing?
