BRIDGE DAY AND THE EAST BRIDGE ARTS FESTIVAL

The City of Owensboro is proud to announce the return of Bridge Day Saturday, September 8, 2012.

The second annual opportunity to walk the Blue Bridge will take place in conjunction with the quickly growing East Bridge Arts Festival in downtown Owensboro presented by Studio Slant.

The festival includes dozens of artists from around the region in addition to live entertainment, kids’ activities, and food vendors. The festival will take place from 10:00 am – 7:00 pm.

Street Chalking will be new to the 2012 event. Anyone wanting to create their own masterpiece on the streets of downtown Owensboro can register with the festival to reserve their location to showcase their best street chalk art and compete for the People’s Choice Award.

The Blue Bridge will be closed from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm for people enjoy a leisurely walk or bike while viewing the newly opened Smothers Park. For more information about the East Bridge Arts Festival contact studioslant@gmail.com.
