This Thursday, April 16th, is Holocaust Remembrance Day. All this week at WKU Owensboro will host a series of events culminating with Holocaust survivor Sonja DuBois speaking Thursday night at 7:00 p.m.

When I read about this, and by the way, it's not as bad as it sounds, I immediately thought of a scene from season 4 of The Walking Dead. I've noticed during the zombie apocalypse in the series, you don't see a lot of chocolate, but last season, one character (I won't spoil who) indulged in a giant can of chocolate pudding he found while searching for food. I get irritated when I drive down Scherm Road in Owensboro and there are birds in the street. They are flipping NUTS over there near that new retention pond. But just imagine how this guy felt! He was driving in Thailand when thousands of ducks swarmed into the street and refused to get out of the way. This is hilarious and a reminder that quack is whack!

I can't feel earthquakes. Or I'm an UNBELIEVABLY heavy sleeper. Or both. But a few years ago, the Owensboro area experienced a 5-point-something earthquake just after 5AM. I didn't feel it.
