Recently, I was in Walmart and saw this gigantic Hot Wheels garage. It was called the Super Ultimate Garage. It costs almost $200, although it can be found cheaper online.

When I was a kid, I had two great loves--cars and Marvel Comics. Every other plaything filled in the blanks.

But toy cars were my jam! I had them all, even the off-brands (i.e. everything NOT named Hot Wheels or Matchbox).

(In fact, I still have some from my youth I decided to hang onto, for whatever reasons, and I'm glad I did.)

Had I run into the Super Ultimate Garage when I was a child, I simply would have lost my mind and asked for NOTHING else for the next ten years...as long as I can have THIS!

I would've asked Santa for it and perhaps put him on the spot, seeing as how it's so expensive, and all.

And, had he been as prudent as he seems to be in the Facebook post below, he would've shot my parents a quick glance to get some sort of indication about whether or not the Super Ultimate Garage was a part of my future.

And, maybe he would have something like this to me:

I love this. I've never thought of the dilemma Santa might encounter when faced with a child asking for something prohibitively expensive.

My dad, who passed away in 2005, was Santa Claus at Towne Square Mall and Holiday World and I never thought to ask him about this kind of situation.

But, then again, I never thought about it until I saw Santa's post.

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope Santa brings you everything you want...in whatever fashion he deems best.
