Shaped by Faith Exercise at Your Desk
Did you know that you can actually work out at your desk?  Short bursts of aerobic exercise will help you stay fit and STRONG!
Our bodies are made to move, so sitting at a desk for long hours will make us sedentary and lethargic, like a slug! Unless of course you are sitting on my most favorite chair, the Stability Ball! Then, the sky’s the limit, literally you can jump as high as you want on the ball.
Getting back to the desk, lets say you don’t have a stability ball just yet, but you are planning to get one real soon, right?
Studies have proven that short bursts of aerobic exercise goes a long way in improving our health and in keeping our weight healthy!
Here are a 3 simple exercises you can do at your desk:
Do each exercise for 1 minute! You can repeat every hour at work
Here is a scripture we can meditate on while doing these exercises. Colossians 3:23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.

Let’s get started!

#1  Seated Jumping Jacks – low impact, no jump!
Progression: Standing Jacks - Raise both arms out to side and tap your feet to the side, alternating sides.  Progression: Go for it, JUMP!!!

#2  Seated March in Place.  Standing March in Place, Jog in place. High Knee Jog in place.

#3  Jump Rope (simulate jumping rope without rope.
Progression: Hop on alternating feet, Both Feet, Fancy Jump Rope Moves

Bonus: Additional  Office Exercise moves you can try out on your own.
Shadow box for a minute or two. Or just walk around the room as fast as you can.
Or do walk-lunges in your office or a vacant room.
