Over the years from 1938 to 1987, Mr and Mrs Hugh O. Potter managed and programmed WOMI. Mrs. Potter had a air-name: Miss JoAnna.

Hugh's parents, Hugh O. Potter and "Miss Joanna", were WOMI's original General Manager and Program Director. Hugh, Jr.  has promised me he will share some of his memories of the station and community on podcasts we will set up here at the 1490 WOMI website...
