  •  Volunteer Supper- 4:00-6:00:  A Night in Italy-  BES honors and shows appreciation to their volunteers with an Italian supper. 

Tuesday, May 1st: 

  • Kindergarten Field Trip to Mesker Zoo
  • Percussion Ensemble practice
  • Art Club- 2:30-3:30p:  Members will be making a coil pot out of clay. 

Thursday, May 3rd: 

  • Recycle Club- 2:30-3:30p:  Last meeting to celebrate the members hard work this school year.  Celebration will include watching “Fern Gully:  The Last Rain Forest”.
  • Art Club- 2:30-3:30p:  Members will use their imagination to create their own sculptures out of clay.
  • PTO Performances:  BUGZ:  Kindergarten at 5:30/1st grade at 6:30p.m. 

Friday, May 4th 

  • Bobcat Bash-  gym at 7:30a.m.-  This is a school wide assembly focusing on student and staff achievements.  The Kids with Character and Top Cat Awards will be given to students. 
  • Assessment Rally- gym at 12:45p.m.: Rally the Troops:  (Wrapping up Boot Camp and preparing for KPREP testing).  Faculty and students will be participating in fun obstacles and games, each focusing on good practice and testing tips.

May 2nd at 1:30pm  EVES prepares to take K- PREP test by talking about teamwork!  Texas Roadhouse dance team will be performing, DCHS panther, Chick Fillet Cow  and hopefully BIG RED himself will attend this special event.  

EVES students will turn Mrs. Williams into a HUMAN SUNDAE to celebrate fundraising profit at 2:00pm in school gym.   Come and watch this exciting transformation! 

May 3rd at 1pm EV will recognize students for their hard work and test scores from 2011 at our annual STARS OF THE SHOW!

May 4th at 11-12 in EVES library EV will honor all teachers with a special luncheon as a kick off for Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-11th.

KPrep Assembly – Our pep rally supporting our students as they prepare to take the state assessment will be held on Friday, May 4, at 1:30 p.m. in the school gym.  Our students will celebrate their hard work this year as they “Aim for the Target” of doing their best.  We are honored to have Jason Koger, SOES parent, to speak to the children about facing challenges and always working to achieve their best in life.  He will join our archery club in a cross-bow demonstration. 

Retirement Reception for Pam Burns will be held on Sunday, May 6,  1:00-3:00, in the SOES Media Center.  Friends, family and co-workers are welcome.
