The University of Louisville already banned itself from the 2015-2016 post-season. Earlier today, the school announced more self-imposed sanctions related to allegations made by Katina Powell in a book published last October.

The new sanctions aren't has harsh as a tournament ban but they seem indicative of an attempt by Louisville to take a pro-active stance ahead of whatever the NCAA might have in store after that organization concludes its ongoing investigation.

One scholarship will be removed for each of the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. Additionally 30 days will be removed from 2016 recruiting period and the number of visits to recruits will be reduced from two to one for each of the next two seasons.

Louisville head coach will speak with the NCAA at some point during the month of April.
