WOMI – 75 Years in Owensboro [Audio]

Ms. Edith Bennett, employed by WOMI for 62 years, passed away in April, 2013. She left behind a legacy of friends and audio. Over the next several weeks and months we will share her memories of WOMI and Owensboro with you in these online podcasts that you may listen to at your leisure.  In 2008, WOMI celebrated its 70th year in broadcasting. Edith, who was always so ready to share her thoughts about WOMI history, recorded a celebration of 70 years of broadcasting to air on her Sunday morning program. We, unfortunately, were experiencing some technical issues at the time and were off the air the day her one hour special was to air. It is my pleasure to bring the audio to you now.
