No wonder "The Star-Spangled Banner" is our National Anthem. It compels you to stand. It compels you shed tears.

I did both when I watched this video of 96-year-old World War II veteran, Pete DuPre, whip out his trusty harmonica and silence a huge crowd gathered to watch the U.S. women's team take on Mexico in a national soccer exhibition.

He told The Washington Post that he "doesn't know a darn thing about music" but knows "how to make a harmonica talk."

And, by extension, a stadium go quiet.
