The Washington Redskins still catching grief because of their nickname, took another punch, this time from the National Indian Gaming Association cancelled its sponsorship of a charity golf event in Arizona because it didn't want to be associated with team owner Dan Snyder's new Washington Redskins Original Americans Foundation, the official sponsor of the golf event.  Referring to Snyder's foundation backing the event, Ernest Stevens, chairman of the National Indian Gaming Association, a nonprofit that includes 184 Indian nations as members, told the USA Today, "It's a blatant attempt to try and buy out the issue."
