Aid The Homeless Textathon: Spotlight on Oasis

On Friday, October 23rd, WBKR is teaming up with the Greater Owensboro Realtor Association and Kentucky Legend for the very first-ever Aid the Homeless Textathon in Owensboro. The event will run from 6am to 6pm CST and will raise money for Aid the Homeless, which benefits six area homeless shelters/services here in Owensboro.

Oasis is a shelter for women and children being abused in domestic situations. They provide services and care to help those families remove themselves from dangerous places and people.

The funds from the Textathon unlike grants can be used for whatever the shelter may need.
