Outreach, Aid the Homeless Fundraiser a Big Success

You took the “Text-a-thon” Challenge and came through in a big way. The proceeds will benefit shelters in our community who need it the most. Thank you for all who gave so generously and supported the cause. We are ready to reveal the tote board!

On Friday, October 23rd, 2020 we teamed up with the Greater Owensboro Realtor Association and Kentucky Legend asking you to take the “Text-a-thon” Challenge and text donations to help area shelters. And, texting you did!

A grand total of $23,600 was raised with Aid the Homeless to support these area shelters. Here at WBKR we put each shelter in the spotlight, so you could learn more about their services, and why they deserve our support. 100% of the donations from the text-a-thon will benefit OASIS, Daniel Pitino Shelter, St. Benedict’s, Crossroads, St. Joseph Peace Mission, and Boulware Mission.
