Angel here and I have returned from vacation, not a bit rested but with tons of memories to share with you all including one memory from Dolly's Stampede Dinner Show my family will never forget.

GO TO THE DINNER SHOW

If you have never been to a dinner show in Pigeon Forge it is totally worth the price and the crowd.  They are entertaining and interactive and full for the entire family.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Arrive at least an hour early so you can see the horses in their stalls and take pictures outside.  Make sure to purchase your tickets online before the show because they almost always sell completely out.   There are always discount tickets available in the coupon books.  When you go in you will get to take a picture with your family and then they put a fun background behind it and bring it to you to view and purchase if you want during the show.  Now, this was our second time going.  Our family went once the Christmas before COVID and they had a comedy show while you waited but this summer they did not provide that because it can get quite crowded in the hall where it is hosted.  We were a little disappointed but it was still had a great time.

ENTERING THE ARENA

When they open the doors and you enter the arena it is breathtaking.  It is so much bigger than you can imagine.  It reminds me of the movie Gladiator and you are sitting in these elevated rows with connected tables in front of you.  These tables are where you are served dinner.

FOUR-COURSE MEAL

You get to enjoy a four-course meal and the show all in one.  The meal is amazing and here's what you get:

  • A Mouth-Watering Tender Whole Rotisserie Chicken.
  • Delicious Hickory Smoked Barbecue Pork Loin.
  • Stampede's Original Creamy Vegetable Soup.
  • Scrumptious Homemade Biscuit.
  • Hot Buttered Corn On The Cob.
  • Tasty Herb-Basted Potato.
  • Stampede's Apple Turnover for dessert
  • Unlimited Coke, Tea Or Coffee.

TOTALLY INTERACTIVE

While you're eating the show begins and depending on where you are sitting you are either on the North or the South.  We were on the Southside and we were the color blue.  Throughout the whole show, we are in competition with the Northside to see who comes out as the winner in the end.  The show riders and their horses come out and you meet your team and then comes the fun.  There are a few different games played during the competition where they call for audience participation and they come out and pick you.  Well, to our surprise we were on the front row and they plucked Joe and Charlotte both out of the crowd to participate in the fun and they WON and you know I got it all on video!

If you look very closely at Charlotte's shoes you will notice she has on Tucker's shoes.  When they came to ask her if she wanted to volunteer she had on sandals and she couldn't do it if she didn't have other shoes.  We made do with what we had because if she didn't do it the other little boy next to us couldn't either.  We sacrificed and we won for the south.  Charlotte still laughs about having to wear her brother's giant shoes.
