Another Broken Egg Cafe Opens Thursday in Downtown Owensboro [Photo]

A brand new restaurant is opening Thursday morning in downtown Owensboro.  Another Broken Egg Cafe, which is situated inside the lobby at the brand new Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront, is ready to hatch.  And, yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet the owner, manager, staff and sample some of the selections on the menu.  And, let me tell you, I had an amazing time visiting the nest!  And I have some mouth-watering photos to share with all you little chickadees!

We started our meal off with a selection from the appetizer menu.  How do these look?  Biscuit Beignets!  Trust me.  They were sweet and delicious and just two of them lived through the day.  The rest were devoured.

Another Broken Egg Cafe has pretty much mastered the art of breakfast.  And they know how to cook an omelet.  Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I present to you Exhibit A!

Kevin ordered the omelet and did his best to eat the whole thing.  Couldn't.  I, on the other hand, was ready to tackle something of Another Broken Egg Cafe's lunch menu and our server Clay talked me into the Cafe Burger.

A burger topped with, among other things, garlic aioli and feta cheese?  Yes ma'am.  And I have to tell you.  It's one of the best burgers I have ever eaten.  Succulent, amazing.  And I ate the entire thing!

The wait and kitchen staffs have spent the last couple of days doing practice runs and they are ready to roll.  The restaurant will open to the public Thursday morning (April 2nd) inside the Holiday Inn Owensboro Riverfront downtown.
