VOTE NOW: Which Mexican Restaurant in Owensboro Has the Best Salsa?
It is National Tortilla Chip Day! Yes, I admit that's yet another random "national" holiday, but I am kinda here for it. I used to live in San Diego and used to cross the border into Tijuana frequently just to eat. I was chatting with my friend Fran Marseille about that just this week. She used to live in San Diego too and admits that the food in Tijuana was authentic and amazing.
Here's a fun overview!
Because I have spent a lot of time at a variety of locations in Mexico, I have developed quite an affinity for salsa. When I lived in San Diego, I lived just above Mission Valley. There was a total dive of a Mexican restaurant just down the hill from my townhouse. I ate there at least once a week. It was awesome.
MEXICAN RESTAURANTS IN OWENSBORO
I'll confess it. When I moved back to Owensboro in the late 90s, I didn't really want to come home. I had gotten spoiled out in California. There was a ton of diversity from a variety of cultures and I loved being adventurous in what I explored and what I ate. I was, however, pleasantly surprised when I did get back to town and noticed that we had an influx of Latin restaurants here in the 'Boro. That trend has continued over the last couple of decades and we have a bunch of delicious Mexican restaurants to choose from, eat at and down margaritas in.
So, to celebrate National Tortilla Day, Angel and I thought it would be fun to host a morning show poll. We want to know who has the absolute best salsa in Owensboro? I can tell you that she and I are completely split on this one. She has her favorites. I have mine. We now want to hear from YOU!
