LIVE with Ian Punnett

Coast to Coast AM

Guest: Galen Cook
10p-11p

Galen Cook is an
attorney in Washington State and a former private
investigator. He has been working independently on the D.B. Cooper mystery since
1982. He joins Ian for an update on his research which shows that four D.B.
Cooper letters all surfaced within one week after America's most celebrated,
unsolved air hijacking. All four letters were sent to major newspapers, not to
the FBI. The sequence and timing of the letters is very important, as they show
the "escape route" of D.B. Cooper.  They also show a "connection"
to the suspect, Bill Gossett.

Paul A. Trout, retired
professor of English at Montana State University, will discuss the myths of
devouring lions, giant bears and snapping alligators - these and other animal
predators in search of human flesh are a staple of ancient mythology, along with
their mythic counterparts like dragons or griffins. For thousands and thousands
of years our ancient human ancestors lived in fear of predatory animals and
reflected the dangerous nature of their daily existence in the many animal myths
that exist in almost every culture.
