Construction Resumes on International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro
Bluegrass music fans! This will be banjo music to your ears. The City of Owensboro has announced that construction is set to resume on the new International Bluegrass Music Museum downtown.
According to city officials, Danco Construction, Inc. has been contracted to complete the International Bluegrass Music Center near the Owensboro Convention Center. The Evansville-based contractor will take over for Peyronnin Construction. Peyronnin filed for bankruptcy earlier this year and caused a temporary suspension of the project.
The construction site and future home of the International Bluegrass Music Museum is the northwest corner of Frederica Street and Second Street in Owensboro.
Work on the site is expected to resume this week with completion of the project in early 2018.
